Service status

Aura reports status inside the API itself, so your systems can act on it without anyone watching a web page.

Each network carries its live state wherever it appears, in List networks and Get service status:

{
"id": "net_ng_b",
"object": "network",
"name": "Network B",
"country": "NG",
"status": "degraded",
"status_message": "Confirmations are slower than usual. Purchases are still accepted.",
"status_updated_at": "2026-10-12T08:41:00Z",
"recent_delivery": {
"median_seconds": 38.5,
"p95_seconds": 212,
"window_minutes": 60,
"sample_size": 620
}
}
Status Purchases What to do
operational Accepted and confirmed normally. Nothing.
degraded Accepted, but confirmations are slower than usual. Keep buying. Tell customers delivery may take longer.
unavailable Refused with 503 network_unavailable. Pause purchases for that network, or offer another, and retry later.

recent_delivery is measured, not promised: the time from accepting a purchase to the network’s confirmation over the last window_minutes. It is null when there were too few purchases to measure. Example values on this page are illustrative.

A purchase refused because its network is down returns 503 network_unavailable, with the network’s status in error.details.network. You learn about the problem from the request you were already making.

GET /v1/status returns the platform’s status and every network on your account in one call. Use it for your own monitoring and dashboards. There is no need to call it before each purchase.

Your technical contact tells you about incidents that affect your integration and about planned maintenance before it happens. If you see a problem first, report it with the details in Support.
